Sonic Arts and Technologies  3rd Forum

Sonic Intelligence, a civic non-profit company (Court of the First Instance No. 4079), is organizing the 3rd annual event entitled “Sonic Arts and Technologies Forum”. The forum will last four days and will be held from September 28 to October 1, 2006, at Thessaloniki International Fair (Pavilion 8), within the framework of the satellite events of Infosystem 2006, with the support of HELEXPO.
The event’s goal is informatory and educational.

The event addresses:
• young creators and artists from the fields of audiovisual means and music.
• young professionals and students of the sound and music technology field.
• professionals from the sector of record companies and musical product distribution.
• educational agencies and trade representatives whose products are addressed to the target-groups listed above.

The event will take the form of an informatory forum, where specialized professionals, teachers, artists and scientists will present topics concerning new IT technologies and methods deriving from the sector of musical education and artistic creation, as well as the sector of production and distribution of musical products.


Forum objectives
1) To disseminate knowledge and understanding around the new technological developments and methods for sound creation, musical education, production and media dissemination.
2) To act as a contact point between the general public and the professional organizations, academic departments, non-profit institutions and artist groups that are involved in “sound arts and technologies” products or services.
